Precision grading
for every session
in the sim.

SimSynch™ gives A320 TREs and TRIs a structured, document-backed platform to plan sessions, observe behaviours, grade competencies, and produce compliant debrief records — replacing paper forms and spreadsheets with a tool designed around how instructors actually work.

125
A320 scenario bank entries
9
EASA core competencies tracked

PDF formats auto-parsed
Real-time
OB grading, auto-saved
70%
of simulator session time spent on administration can be eliminated with structured digital grading
ORCA
method — observe, assess, record, correlate — built into every session from the first scenario to the debrief
One
platform from session planning through OB observation, competency grading, and debrief export

Built and proven on a real Level D FFS.

SimSynch™ isn't a mockup of what simulator training could look like — it runs session to session on a CAE 7000XR-series A320 full-flight simulator, the same box instructors use for LPC/OPC and recurrent EBT checks.

CAE 7000XR-series A320neo FFS — Level D, full motion

From briefing room to signed debrief in one session.

SimSynch follows the actual rhythm of a simulator check — not an abstraction of it. Every step maps directly to what an instructor does in the bay.

A
Build the session plan
Configure a 4-slot template or use the generator: select phase, degree of difficulty, role focus, and scenario category. SimSynch draws from a 125-event A320 scenario bank and attaches the right Observable Behaviours automatically via a three-tier OB matching engine.

B
Upload an existing programme
Have an operator lesson plan, FCOM abnormal procedures document, or LPC/OPC Instructor Guide? Upload the PDF. SimSynch auto-detects the format, extracts training events, and maps each to the built-in exercise library. You pick which exercises to evaluate.

C
Grade in real time
The ORCA grading view shows one Observable Behaviour per row. Mark it observed, select a grade from 1–5, add a note. Every entry saves immediately — no batch submit, no lost data if the session runs long. The controlling grade (lowest observed OB) updates live.
Auto-save · Controlling grade · MAL tracking
D
Debrief with evidence
The Session Debrief shows a live competency radar, bar chart, and Venn diagram built from the graded OBs. Focus areas (below-MAL competencies) are highlighted automatically. Save the debrief to mark the session Complete and lock the record.

What changes when you use SimSynch™.

Concrete improvements in how simulator instruction is prepared, delivered, and documented.

🗂
No more blank paper forms
Observable Behaviour checklists are generated automatically from the selected scenario, not handwritten or printed the night before. The right OBs for each scenario are attached before the session starts.
OBs sourced from uploaded Scenario_Observable_Behaviours.xlsx, falling back to ATA-family generic profiles
Grade during the session, not after
Every grade saves the instant you click. Notes save on blur. No "Save" button to forget. When the session ends, the debrief record is already complete — you're reviewing it, not building it from memory.
Real-time Supabase persistence · ORCA controlling-grade rule applied live
📄
Upload any operator programme
LPC/OPC Instructor Guide, FCOM abnormal procedures PDF, or EBT lesson plan — SimSynch auto-detects the format, extracts the training events, and maps them. Three document formats supported with no manual configuration.
30+ keyword-bridge patterns for vocabulary matching across document types
📊
Competency evidence, not just grades
The debrief shows a radar chart, bar graph, and Venn diagram of competency coverage. Each chart is built from the OBs you observed, not averaged from a single overall score. The evidence is there before you open your mouth in the debrief.

🔍
Scenario bank with 125 A320 events
The scenario selector shows every event in your Scenarios.csv bank, filterable by phase, DOD, and category. Competency coverage gaps in the current session plan drive the match score — the most useful scenario for this crew is ranked first.

🏛
EASA structure, not an afterthought
MAL threshold = 3 throughout. Any competency graded below 3 triggers RETRAIN regardless of overall average — the ORCA controlling-grade principle. Session structure is validated against AMC1 ORO.FC.231 before you commit to it.
OM-D §3.1.1.1 · AMC1 ORO.FC.231 · CBTA framework
Built for
regulatory
confidence.
MAL = 3 enforced throughout — grades 1 and 2 trigger RETRAIN. The grading scale follows OM-D §3.1.1.1 exactly. There is no way to configure SimSynch to produce a non-compliant result.
ORCA controlling-grade rule applied live — the lowest observed OB grade caps the session result. A crew graded 5/5/5/5/5/5/5/5/2 is correctly marked RETRAIN.
Session structure validated against AMC1 ORO.FC.231 — the generator checks for phase coverage, competency coverage, and DOD ceiling before you commit, flagging gaps as advisory notes.
Debrief records timestamped and locked — "Save Session Debrief" marks the session Complete with a debriefed_at timestamp. Once locked, the record is tamper-evident.
Observable Behaviours referenced to source documents — every OB carries its reference tag (FCOM_PRO, QRH, OM_A, EASA_EBT) so the evidence chain is auditable.
Two fully separate workflows — Session Setup (EBT/CBTA) and OPC & ORCA are independent. Grades from one workflow never contaminate the other's competency profile.

Every debrief is built for the crew in front of the instructor — not reconstructed afterward from memory.
"The simulator bay is already a high-pressure environment. The documentation shouldn't add to it. SimSynch™ gives instructors back their attention — for the crew in front of them, not the clipboard in their hand."
